Newcity is pleased to announce that Maya Surrenti has been appointed assistant editor of Newcity. In that role she’ll work closely with the managing editor and editor to help manage the daily operations of the magazine, both its print and digital editions, along with its regular email newsletters.
Maya Surrenti says she lives for all things culture. A writer, music-lover and vintage-wear adorer, she graduated with a B.A. in English Literature and Spanish from the University of Vermont and relocated to Chicago. She looks forward to building on her experience as a writer and editor for The Vermont Cynic at Newcity.
