Newcity’s August issue features the return of our chronicle of the shapers of Chicago’s music world, “Music 45: Who Keeps Chicago in Tune,” timed to coincide with the heart of the city’s music festival season.
As part of our Leaders of Chicago Culture series, this year’s Music 45 list will highlight the behind-the-scenes forces who help shape the music landscape of Chicago, from hip-hop to classical and beyond.
This year’s Music 45 issue will also feature our special Lollapalooza edition, in an official partnership with the festival, as part of a combined issue that highlights Chicago’s music scene, from homegrown talent to large-scale festivals. The Lollapalooza section of the issue will be dedicated to previewing Chicago’s biggest music event, and one the city’s biggest events all year.
