Newcity is delighted to announce Amber Gibson as our new assistant dining and drinking editor. In this role, Amber will work closely with editor Brian Hieggelke in planning and executing Newcity’s coverage of Chicago’s outstanding culinary and cocktail culture.
Amber Gibson is a freelance food and travel writer based in Chicago. She graduated as valedictorian from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2013 with a B.S. in broadcast journalism. Her writing has appeared in Plate, Chicago magazine, Time Out Chicago, Where Chicago, Delta Sky, Hemispheres, Mandarin Quarterly, Design Bureau and Front Desk among other publications.
