We’re very pleased to announce that we’re partnering with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) to produce this year’s official guide to Chicago Artists Month, which will take place all around the city throughout the month of October, some 200 events in all.
For the first time, the month’s purview is expanding beyond its traditional focus on visual arts to incorporate all of the arts, from theater and music to film and dance and beyond. And, for the first time, the official publication will offer a very limited amount of advertising.
The publication will be printed in a glossy magazine-sized format, with a press run of 50,000 copies that will be inserted into the September 19 Art 50 edition of Newcity, street-teamed to select locations around Chicago, and, of course, available at all of the city’s key cultural and tourist properties, including the Chicago Cultural Center. Not to mention the dozens and dozens of neighborhood partners for Chicago Artists Month.
