Based on on our “return rates” each year, our annual Love & Sex issue may be our most popular. It makes sense, too, given our audience of younger adult city dwellers, and our very grown-up take on the holiday. Here’s how we solicit stories from a wide cross-section of Chicagoans:
“We’re looking for ideas for Newcity’s upcoming Love & Sex issue, to be published on February 12.
Vignettes, confessions, horror stories, service features, comics, quizzes, you name it. We’re game for anything creative. Please let us know what you have mind by early next week. We’d need copy by February 4.”
So who should advertise in this issue? Well restaurants and flower shops, of course, as well as boutiques. Dating services. Singles bars. Anyone who believes their business deserves a share of the economic food chain that the mating rituals of the city’s single and restless create.
